Core Argument

The groundwater located in parts of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio is called the Michindoh Aquifer.

Artesian of Pioneer is planning to drill into our only water source and pipe that water to communities who already have access to Lake Erie’s water.

Williams County Commissioners’ Resolution stated:  “Just because you have the right to do something, doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do.”

The “reasonable use” law allows the harm to happen before the matter can be adjudicated.

The Ohio regulatory process through the EPA and ODNR does not consider the impact of continuous water withdrawals upon the sustainability of an aquifer.

The current lack of scientific certainty should not be the excuse for postponing measures to protect the aquifer.

Privatization of our water benefits one company and endangers hundreds of thousands.  It could lead to more large withdrawal projects in the future.
